A large room with capacity for up to 50 people is available at the GLADE Centre for meetings and events. A smaller room also caters for groups of up to 10.
UNSERVICED LETTINGS
- The hirer/organisation lays the room out for themselves and returns it to how they found it at the end of the letting.
- They may use kitchen, kettle and crockery, but bring their own tea, coffee, etc (Fair Trade advised), and do own washing up and removal of rubbish.
- Heating and lighting included.
The room should be left as you would wish to find it.
Surcharges for unserviced lettings:
Outside office hours £2 per hour.
Hours include setting up and clearing up by the user.
(Minimum let outside office hours is two hours).
Additional charge for use of projector.
Meeting and greeting of participants and putting out notices to direct them are responsibility of the hirer.
One-off or new hirers will be opened and closed for, but should not expect a steward/caretaker to remain on the premises.
Regular users may be entrusted to unlock and lock up for themselves.
Our FULLY SERVICED LETTINGS
- Setting out of room and any required equipment;
- Setting out of tea/coffee and biscuits, if requested;
- Greeting of arrivals plus notices to direct them to the room;
- Heating and lighting;
- Cleaning before and after;
- Steward/caretaker on the premises to troubleshoot as required and to open and close for the booking;
- Computer/OHP projection facilities, setting up and advice;
- Washing up and clearing away afterwards.
Charges for fully serviced lettings:
£15 per hour for duration of activity (i.e. while participants and/or organisers are on site);
Minimum charge of £30.
Maximum charge per day £90, subject to surcharges below.
For example, one hour would cost £30; two hours £30; three hours £45; eight hours £90.
Surcharges:
£20 per booking for weekend lets. ICT facilities available.
